This program involves the accumulation of 30 hours of flight time, of which 17 hours must be with an instructor and 8 hours must be solo. As well, students must attend 20 hours of private helicopter ground school.

Applicants must accumulate 30 hours of flight time, attend 20 hours of private helicopter ground school, achieve 60% on written examination (PHRAC) and demonstrate ability on a practical flight test.
